Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized by her highly commendable performances in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. Her acting career began with Broadway through a myriad of Broadway as well as Off Broadway productions. Since her childhood she's been passionate in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Her mumps left her blind and deaf in one ear. However, she didn't let this hinder her progress as an actress. After studying drama in college after which she relocated in New York City with her ambitions with her sights set. Through a random encounter, she became stuck in an elevator with writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved from Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star on Swing Shift. In the three decades since she was a part of the film she has appeared involved in numerous television movies and series. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person and has been awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
